Chris Braiden Himself
A Police Leader, A Police Thinker

Thirty-two years a copper and now a coach. Chris was an Edmonton police officer who rose to the rank of Superintendent. His service included advisory work with the Provincial and Federal governments in Canada. He also participated in a Canadian team invited to study policing in Japan. He finished his career by designing and implementing a Community Based Policing system in Edmonton. Even while still a serving officer he became a faculty member of the Sam Houston State University in Texas. Since retiring in 1993 Chris has run his own police consulting firm, and since 1998 has also been on the faculty of the University of Massachussetts. Chris is a regular author whose writings on police issues have appeared in a wide variety of police and academic publications.
