Chris Braiden Himself A Police Leader, A Police Thinker
Thirty-two years a copper and now a coach. Chris was an Edmonton police officer
who rose to the rank of Superintendent. His service included advisory work with
the Provincial and Federal governments in Canada. He also participated
in a Canadian team invited to study policing in Japan. He finished his
career by designing and implementing a Community Based Policing system
in Edmonton. Even while still a serving officer he became a faculty member
of the Sam Houston State University in Texas. Since retiring in 1993 Chris
has run his own police consulting firm, and since 1998 has also been on
the faculty of the University of Massachussetts. Chris is a regular author
whose writings on police issues have appeared in a wide variety of police
and academic publications. |
